Looking forward to sitting on guitar with King Sophia's Trio! Come enjoy the music and learn about the Montgomery Brothers. Here's more info from King Sophia:
"It’s time for another episode of Listening B(l)ack! This time we’ll be covering the Montgomery Brothers — one of jazz music’s most prolific family acts. Each extremely talented composers, performers, and arrangers in their own right, Buddy, Monk, and Wes co-created several projects together and had undeniably significant impacts on the music world. Our storytelling session will fill in the gaps of this trio’s collective story sonically and otherwise. We will discuss and perform a selection of songs written by one or more of the Montgomery brothers, with equal attention paid to each of these craftsmen. Come learn the story behind the masterminds this Thursday July 9th 5-7pm at The Hannan Center. Tickets at the door are $15. See you there!" https://www.kingsophiamusic.com/
