Join us for Detroit Cantastoria Festival this weekend, November 21, 22, 23 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 1950 Trumbull St. in Corktown. Doors at 7:30. Show at 8 p.m. Suggested donation: $10-$20.
There will be three nights of fabulous entertainment, thought provoking stories, satire, local humor, glorious painted banners, live music and pals. As always, there will be a dizzying array of art, story and writing from many different perspectives from Detroit and beyond.
Detroit Cantastoria Fest is an annual festival produced by Flying Cardboard Theater featuring local artists and activists who collaborate on a group of short shows in the “cantastoria” and “cranky” traditions. Cantastoria and cranky shows are a wonderful medium for storytelling. These art forms are thousands of years old and still alive today in Detroit!
