Two local community song groups that I'm a part of, Solidarity Songs and the Ann Arbor Ceasefire Choir, are holding a benefit concert for children in Palestine. The event will include both a performance as well as an optional song circle. Donation ticket info below.

It is beyond excruciating that the genocide continues against the Palestinian people. Tens and tens of thousands of lives taken. Hundreds of thousands of people injured. The continued violence to people, culture, and land. The years to come of the impacts of such violence and trauma. It’s heartbreaking. It’s enraging. Sometimes it can feel unbearable or like there is nothing we can do.

May this benefit concert and song circle help us to move through these painful times and emotions together, and to show up in action by financially contributing to support children who are experiencing the greatest trauma humans can know.

You and everyone you know is invited to join us on Tuesday, August 13th from 6:30-9pm for an hour of a performance by these two groups, a short break, and an optional song circle. The event will be held at the Friends Meetinghouse in Ann Arbor. Tickets are a minimum of $20 and children under 5 don’t need one. All donations go to the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA) & Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF).
